I can't find a way to get easily to posts/topics I haven't yet read. Am I missing something? While I'm logging in regularly I can get by with searching for Show Latest but is that going to do me if I have a long weekend away? Or a 2-week holiday?

I really don't want to disturb Geoff & the Team with this - they've got more than enough on their plate. But I suspect there's plenty of other expertise here... anyone?

I was thinking we probably need a 'forum features' thread where questions like this can be posted and then cheched off as and when we address them.

Which in this case is already done, as noted elsewhere; fantastic work, many thanks.

Keith,
Having played around with the site, the logo to the left of the thread is on a green background when unread, and goes to grey when it has been read. I think this will serve as well as the previous "NEW" symbol, hopefully!

Now I have seen the key at the bottom below the "Board info", explains the red tinge, I think! At least if i understood what sticky was!

Well, normal threads slowly wander down the topic list if nobody posts to them anymore, while a sticky thread always remains at the top of the list, e.g. for announcements, an FAQ, etc.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

If you are in the main index page of the forum in the top horizontal menu (the one that starts with index and ends with rules and Search) you can find "Topic view"

(Note that if you are not at the top level of the forum you can not see this option in the menu).
Also when you are in the topic view this item changes to "forum view" which allow you to came back to the usual view.

When you are in topic view, all the new (and old) topics are listed, ordered descending by last posted date. This view allow you to quickly go to all the new post.
