Hi guys. I'm not sure if I'm being a numpty, but I'm having trouble routing 5Y72 (2306 Glasgow Central - Edinburgh Waverly) out of Midcalder Junction Siding, and also having the same problem with 1B16 (2120 Aberdeen - London Euston) out of Dalmeny Up Yard. The starting signals wont let me click on them to allow me to route the trains out of the yard. Any thoughts? Cheers Adam Log in to reply |

I'm having a little trouble on the Edinburgh box with joining trains 1B01,1B16,1M16,1M16-1 & 0M16, I managed to get 1B01 and 1B16 sorted but 1M16 and 1M16-1 refues to join which stops me from joining 0m16. Is there an order in how to do this or is it a bug? I can get the ground frames to work fine exept the signal on the Dalmeny ground frame has failed permenantly, I can get round it by telling the train to pass at danger. Log in to reply |

BHarrison Please don't take this as a personal dig - it is information for all users of the Forum. If there is a general query about the sim, there is a lot of information in the manual that is bundled with the sim and there is a lot of information on the Wiki. If there are particular problems or suspected bugs not covered in the manual, the sections of the Forum for Edinburgh under the Released Sims and Timetables headings contain a whole lot of extra information. These sections are also the place for enquires about particular sims rather than as general questions. In the particular case of the sleeper joins at Edinburgh, it is a known bug which is being followed up as is explained elsewhere on the Forum (for instance have a look at http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_agora&task=topic&id=901&Itemid=54). The developers, testers and McGuides from the Peterborough meet are all glad to help people with queries about the operations of the Edinburgh sim, but please, please do a little bit of work before posting on the sim. Please remember that the developers etc. are not a 24/7 online resource ready to help with every problem in real time. If the problem has already been reported, SimSig users may well be able to get an answer more quickly by doing a bit of personal research rather than relying on a new answer to an old query being re-hashed and re-posted. Postal, Didn't know you were thinking of joining the 'Time Team' Seriously though I do agree. The new Sims have created a lot of posts on the forum and a lot seem to cover the same ground but in different posts....all getting a bit confusing.... Geoff. Log in to reply |
