The Emergency button for signal EB665 (to the left of Springfield station, and before the following crossings; Sweetholme, Bow of Fife, Cults Mill, Hospital Mill) appears to function backwards, i.e: Left-Click activates it and Right-Click deactivates it. Normal operation is for Left-Click to deactivate it and left click to activate it. I could be mistaken and this is just normal operation for it, however I don't think that this is the case. EB655 has an auto button rather than an emergency button (or am I going senile (again!))

EB655 (before Heatherbank Crossing and Ladybank station) doesn't have any extra button(s). and I found this problem on North East Scotland simulation not Edinburgh simulation Although thanks for your reply as this led me to check out EB665 on Edinburgh and it appears to have an auto button, but it has an Emergency button on North East Scotland :: Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. In real life EB665 is a controlled signal with an auto button - as seen here and here.

In NE scot the 'E' button is the converse of the one on Edinburgh covering CP14 (see EDB manual). It's only visible in solo-mode and is available to control train entry when any crossing is being used. In reality (and in chain) you have to phone the other box. Perhaaps using an 'E' button (bespoke drawn by me hence the unusual working- not intentional) is misleading. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
