The following problem occurs when playing some sims. When using loader version 4.6.6 and engaging higher simulation speeds. Tested to occur on Central Scotland 4.2.2 with August 2006 Timetable & Newport 1.0 With SO 21 11 2015 0000 Start Timetable When warp speed is engaged ('F' key) and the timetable editor is opened, there is a pause before the dialog is displayed, meanwhile the Windows 'busy' cursor is displayed. This continues until either sim speed is reduced, or after a lengthy wait; a lag of over a minute has been observed when at the 'fastest' speed. A shorter pause also occurs at lower speeds, it seems to scale exponentially with simulation speed. It only seems to affect the opening timetable editor dialog and the population 'F2' Train list dialog (not the opening of this dialog). This does not obviously affect the functionality of any other areas of the simulation I accept that it may be my computer complaining of not being re-started for a couple of days, or that may be a builtin throttle to prevent SimSig becoming a resource hog, either way I felt I should report it in case it can be repeated on other peoples' machines The train now standing on platform 2, should be on the rails Last edited: 24/12/2017 at 23:16 by rfw Reason: Omited details added Log in to reply |

Reported as #11695 on loader 4.2.305 but closed as not fixable (windows issue). It's a bit of a pain but if you know the reason it's not a showstopper. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: rfw |

Thank you, I wasn't aware that it had been previously reported, but it is good to know it isn't just my computer sulking in the corner!
