Just been playing Exeter with an 80s timetable (so lots of locomotive changes/run-rounds), and had a particularly nasty track circuit failure that basically required me to use the incident control panel to hand-crank points, as there was no getting around it. I told a locomotive to examine the line and pass the signal at danger, expecting it to phone back once it passed the TCF and arrived into the station, which I intended to use as a cue for me to un-crank the points. However, as soon as it arrived it started joining — then after the join completed of course the train disappeared, so I never got phoned! Not sure if the expected behaviour is to phone before or after the join (is there a rule for this in real life?), but I'd expect a phone call at some stage! In real life I'd expect him to report back when he arrived. Mantis 19649 Log in to reply |
