When a train is delayed at a given location, the delay time can be reset or forgotten by asking train to shunt forward. I've used this in the past to skip delays that were tedious and taking the fun out of the sim. I just wanted to check if this was a bug or a feature. It is reproduced below, using the attached timetable & with F3 delay settings shown: ---------------------------------------------------- The train gets delayed The delay shown in F2 Train list Select the Shunt forward option F2 train list shows the train temporarily 'traveling' with a speed of 0 The timer is reset & the train can continue along it's merry way without waiting 45 minutes (or however long the delay was) Post has attachments. That is because at the end of the shunt forward movement the train resets itself as an arrival and thus a new probability calculation takes place to determine whether there are any delays for the new arrival! Edit: in real life if a train reported a delay it would stay in place until the cause had been eliminated. At which point in time the driver or station staff would inform the signaller that the train was ready to depart and request a route. It's not quite as simple as a delayed train never moving, a lot would depend on why it was delayed. For instance if the driver needed a PNB, the train couldn't move for fairly obvious reasons, but something like a medical emergency or the wrong kind of food trolley then you could move it down the platform to get another train in behind for instance.
