As we are just under 5 weeks away from the Birmingham meet, I am please to announce that 3 brand new, never before seen simulations will be on display at the Birmingham meet. Two of these will be open to people being able to play them, and it is hoped that the third will also be available for playing, though it may be limited to testers only, and we'll aim to update you all on that as we go along. If you haven't signed up for the meet please do so, it will help us gauge the setup. Any speculation on what the simulations will be should go in the speculation thread. UPDATED 2nd February You will have noted in the opening post that I mentioned one of the three new simulations may be limited to testers only... Well the developer and his team of testers have put in a huge amount of effort this week to make me look like a liar! I'm pleased to say that all three simulations will be available for anyone who attends the meet to play on the day. As an added bonus, if you attend the meet and are the first person to have guessed one of the simulations on show in this thread, you can claim a free pint off of me. I was originally signed up for the meet, but have now removed my registration. Got a family 80th birthday party to attend on the same day. Looked at the possibility of doing both but really not feasible. See you at the next meet. Log in to reply |

Just over four weeks to go until we're all at the meet. If you are intending to join us, please do sign up so we can let the people at the pub know how many of us will be there. If you head over to the simulation speculation thread there is also a chance for attendees to win a free pint! The RMT have just announced a strike on 3rd March, affecting Northern and Merseyrail services- something to be aware of if you're travelling to the meet by rail from the north west.

Also, in case anyone is coming from south Wales, a look on RealTimeTrans suggests no services Bridgend to Swansea. Work for electrification I guess, unless anyone else knows otherwise? Dave Log in to reply |

We're now a fortnight away from the Birmingham meet so this is a reminder that anyone wishing to attend who has not already signed up should use the sign up linked from the Upcoming Events section. We usually find that we start running out of extension leads and power strips as we set things up. As the Soloman Cutler is not over-endowed with wall sockets we will probably need to be well supplied with leads to make sure we can connect everyone's kit. If you have indicated that you will be bringing any extension leads, please remember to pack them in your bag before setting off for the meet - and if you haven't indicated that you will be bringing any but have the odd one lying in the back of the cupboard it would do no harm to fetch it as well. See you all in a fortnight. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 17/02/2018 at 09:44 by postal Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Ar88 |

1 week to go! Excited about this....maybe it's time to start listing what people drink for anybody who is feeling generous to friends to buy pints? Mine's a Kopparberg Mixed Fruit (or Strawberry & Lime), a Jager, or I'll be happy with a pint of coke. :) ALTHOUGH I never turn down a Stowford Press! The Welsh contingent. Aron, or Ar to mates. I will still be coming however it's unlikely I be on time as my laptop is undergoing repairs, it decided to take industrial action on me. So should hopefully be there in the afternoon depending of course on the engineer. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: AndyNTH |

Apologies, but I'll have to cancel due to the weather outlook. A bit of a disappointment. I'm slightly tempted to book a place in Sydney, but that'll be winter in Oz. Probably not minus 7 Celsius even so.
