Intended to be a recurring thread. Worked my way through Man PICC, currently getting hammered on Motherwell. Fancying Trent old school to see if I can manage the peak at Nottingham - never did manage that in all the years , although might do Humberside just to be a freight doggie for a night Log in to reply |

Funnily enough, I fancied a bit of a change from going between Man Pic, Leeds & York, so I loaded up Sheffield and started one of the 80s timetables. Although it does show you how far the loader has come - Sheffield looks a bit old now. The 80s TTs are just great though. Loads of freight, shunting, light engine movements etc and so so many different junctions to keep an eye on. Log in to reply |

Currently running through one with him atm for an unreleased sim and it's a brilliant bit of work. The Welsh contingent. Aron, or Ar to mates. Also known as 88E or ThatManCalledAr. Log in to reply |

It was trent I picked, forgot how harrowing the 0600-0900 was on that sim but it is still one of, if not THE best SimSig experiences still, even with the bugs those level crossings ! Log in to reply |

Its not what sim to play next its "have I time to play a sim?" Some sims must be run very slowly if you are playing them on your own so a particular TT may take several days to finish. I personally prefer challenging sims with TTs that have quite a lot of run rounds and other complex steps. Modern TTs are so repetitive and boring as there are very little loco manoeuvres.
