I have just downloaded the latest update for New Street and have encountered the following: Platform 8A (Up direction) TRTS given but no flashing white roundel - minor issue Train 1M62 given TRTS, route set and signal cleared but train list says "Held by conditions" Signal 209 goes to approach locking after a train passes it. I can't reproduce 8A TRTS (was given and visibly flashing white with signal at red) though I have just realised the "held by conditions" may be an issue for some signals. Do you remember which platform 1M62 was in? There are also two of them in the default timetable though I think it may be a signal issue rather than train issue. Can confirm 205/209/199/208 approach locking though not too sure why at the moment. Apologies. WIll look again tomorrow. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Have missed several trains at New Street that are sat at a Red with no TRTS flashing white roundel saying "Held by conditions", then when signal cleared they move no problem.

Now finding problems in routing trains permissively onto platforms. Process is... 1. Route trains through from A to B end of platform, platform 12 for example. 2. Train comes to a stand at the B end of the platform but route remains set in (signal post icon still white). 3. First attempt to route train in permissively says 'cannot overset a different route (182 to 212). 4. If you attempt to cancel the route it goes to '120 seconds approach locking', trying to then retry and still get the 'cannot overset a different route' effectively meaning a 2 minute delay for any train that needs to be signalled permissively. 5. Once 120 second has timed out problem seems to go away and you can route and take back permissive route to your hearts content. Permissive working still works in all other examples as far as I can work out. Not been an issue as far as I'm aware until recent update. Problem of being unable to set a route for low numbered platforms permissive working which does not happen until the track circuit next to it is active is still a problem on this sim. Not seen this reported.. Signal 166 plat 9A and Signal 183 plat 11 fail to clear on passage of train. Signal 208 plat 2 times out after passage of train. Signal 209 plat 1 times out after passage of train. Signal 201 plat 5 times out after passage of train. Signal 203 plat 4 times out with no train approaching after train leaves platform in opposite direction. (train is beyond approaching signal). Only happened after the latest update. Routes appear to be sticking (unsure if this is the right terminology) after the passage of trains again. 166 to 165 on PL9, 183 to 214 on PL11. On the middle platforms 7&8 if there is a train being signalled and leaving another portion of the train on the other end of the platform the route not only 'sticks' but then pulls off meaning a COA if the train left is not due to depart for whatever reason. Understand this may be accurate to real life, but as it hasn't been like this since the last update wondering if this may be a bug? Attached a save as it happens with multiple New St games I have started since Christmas. See 2L00 & 5P10 on PL8. **Further problem with releasing trains from Soho, unable to clear 310 to 309 unless the train is stood at the signal 310 with 'no overlap available' despite no other trains being around and no conflicting moves - 5U08 dep Soho 331 at 0605 on save.** Post has attachments. Unless as per real life: further problems with subsidiary signals not pulling off until the track berth they sit next to is occupied (eg 12A 182 to 212 when 12B is occupied. Also: Proof House Jn 144 reverts causing a COA when moving trains from Stour lines to Derby lines then swinging points back to Stour lines.
