So I recently added a telephone chime for the signaller when a train calls me but it only plays like 2 seconds of it then repeating and does the the whole tune.

How can I fix this?

I'm not totally clear on what you are saying here.

Are you saying that you have a sound clip of (say) 10 seconds length, but it only plays the same 2 seconds repeatedly? If so that's probably how the core code works.

Or is it that it plays the first 2 seconds followed by the full 10 seconds? If so what happens next?

I tried this time now for the general telephone message as I hoped to add it as like a notification like a ring ring but it doesn't play it fully unless answered

Peter one issue I found with the telephone message sound is it ring until answered (as you might expect) but after answering the call it would annoyingly continue to ring again for another full cycle of the selected noise.

Maybe this is what rockingrpg means

"We don't stop camborne wednesdays"

I use this sound.

Never had a problem with it- it keeps sounding until the phone is answered. It does play again when you give your reply to the phone message, but it's only a two second clip so it's not a big problem.

I've just checked the core code. For all sounds except the telephone, it's played once.

For the telephone, the relevant windows system function is called every 2 seconds until the sound is disabled because the call is answered or the caller hangs up. That explains both why you only get the first 2 seconds each time and why you get the whole sound after answering.
