Hello everyone, I've just been reading various threads here about the Special Timings Feature. I'm trying to get it to work on the Rugby SCC North simulation with line closures, but I haven't been able to get it to function and I am confused about some parts. -First of all, what do I put for the Train ID and Unique ID when setting up a special timing pattern, and which ID do I enter when selecting a pattern for a service to run to? -Secondly, do I need an entry point and entry time for the special timing? I'm using the Down Fast blocked to Amington Jn scenario, so I'm trying to route all trains via the SL at Attleborough Jn, through Nuneaton Platform 2 and then back onto the fast at Amington(if it requires the fast line). -For the timing points, do I only include locations where the special timing will run to or do I need to do it from the start to the end of the map? -Also, can somebody advise me of the difference between Path and Line, I'm not too sure what to put in those boxes either. Thanks for your time Log in to reply |

UID isn't necessary, use the train ID when setting a train to run to the timing pattern. Quote: -Secondly, do I need an entry point and entry time for the special timing? I'm using the Down Fast blocked to Amington Jn scenario, so I'm trying to route all trains via the SL at Attleborough Jn, through Nuneaton Platform 2 and then back onto the fast at Amington(if it requires the fast line). The timing pattern should only have the locations where you're using it- so in your case, from Attleborough Jn to Amington (you may need to go one location beyond Amington to get crossovers to the FL at Amington to work). Times should be left as 00/00. Quote: -Also, can somebody advise me of the difference between Path and Line, I'm not too sure what to put in those boxes either.Path is the track the train takes into the location, Line is the track it uses to leave the location. So if crossing from Slow to Fast at Amington, the path code is SL, line code is FL. If you want the pattern to route trains to the SL or FL at Amington, you'll need two timing patterns- one with the move to the FL, one without. To be honest, it's easier to just copy an existing schedule that does what you want and modify it accordingly. UID is not necessary - when you use "run to STP" you enter the train identity, not the UID. The STP needs to cover the entire journey through the sim. Path is arrival into a location; line is away from a location. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
