Possible MEGA WCML chain? 15/08/2018 at 23:12 #111092

I'm on annual leave from the 24 of Sept until 6 September.

Had a random thought of possibly doing the above title if we had enough hosts and people interesting in taking part.

I'm happy to host two sims out of the possible ones that we have. (or If rugby I can host three)

If we can plan it for a Friday or Saturday evening/night and try and get a 5 hour and 15 minute session in from a 0445 start would take us through morning peak and a decent save for another time....

Anyone interested, tag along on this thread and any possible hosts that can commit to the full timescale above?

Again, just a thought that came into my head tonight...

Thoughts?

Euston to Birmingham is the most??
so Wembley, Watford, Rugby SCC, Birmingham and Wolves and maybe Coventry??

I can host at least two of the said sims.

I'm happy too to assist on hosting a sim in this Mega Chain on a Friday/Saturday Night, depending on whether I've got any university work or not.

Saltley - Aston + Derby will be a hit for definite.

P.S. Rip North London Line couldn't join us...

Won't be including Saltley or Derby until the cross city issue is resolved. just pure WCML. Coventry and Wolves should be included even though a one man sim.

What issue was that? I recall mention of missing trains on Aston, but thought that was resolved (not a bug).

Is Strafford up to date to chain to everything it needs to?

Don't know if it's to do with rules or what not. But, granted a ran a host where a train was removed...

RE-ran the host at a later date and made it cleat that no train shall be removed from the sim.... and still had issues, 'N' trains entered. Anything else from the Up Stour doesn't show up.

That was indeed the thread to which I was referring. I'm sorry I didn't notice the extra posts as they were added while I was on holiday.

Generally it's best to *not* have any trains traversing sims during a save to avoid problems like this.

Stafford can chain to Wolverhampton but it'll create a weird situation between Stafford and Rugby where locations are covered twice as they don't chain and overlap locations with different layouts
