For me, after deleting the sim from the Simulations directory, it reinstalls when I go to 'Check for updates' and choose 'Install/Update Automatically'.

I don't remember now how I deleted it. I probably deleted the East Coastway folder from- Users, Public, Public Documents, SimSig, Simulations.

You may even need to go to Users > Public > Public Documents > SimSig > Timetables and delete the eastcoastway sub-folder there as well. That may prompt the Loader to reinstall the sim as Edgemaster suggests. The sim will then be installed but will only run in demo mode unless you buy a licence through the shop and then go to the Licence Manager from the main SimSig loader screen and allocate the licence to your machine. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 05/12/2018 at 14:22 by postal Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I now have East Coastway installed by downloading it on my mother's laptop, & transferring it across. Since doing that it reappeared in 'check for updates' on that machine.

Since doing that it reappeared in 'check for updates' on that machine. If it did not appear on "check for updates" on your machine but did appear on another machine then there is something wrong. That was the point of MarkC's question. There is a gap in the updating process for the loader where loader versions installed before the change will not upgrade to later versions of the loader and updater. If you are running the latest loader then there is a bug somewhere that needs to be found and corrected so that others don't suffer the same problems as you have done. If you are not running the latest loader you need to download the system files and install them again after which the updates should all work automatically. Can you let us know which version of the loader was in use when you were having the problem so that any potential bug can be eradicated. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Solved! I had forgotten that the 'advanced' button on check for updates gives a 'hide' option, & East Coastway was marked as 'hidden'.
