Geoff - I cannot force myself to be logged off. No amount of trying to log off seems to take me to a public page. Could this be something to do with the way my system handles the SimSimRememberMe cookie? I see this is locked until 31-12-9999; that's a long, long time.

That... that shouldn't even be possible! I wouldn't have thought a browser would allow that. Regardless of the testing, I would suggest deleting all cookies related to SimSig.co.uk (procedure depends on your browser).

Out of interest, which browser are you using, and which version?

I am not sure Browser has anything to do with it, as I have 2 computers that run Firefox (64.0.2) on one I can logoff as normal and the other I have to close Firefox down to log myself out.

I remember when the site had its upgrade there was a short time where users could not log out properly and I am sure Geoff said he fixed it. The first PC I mentioned I only got several months after site got upgraded and logoff issue fixed and that seems to work ok, where as the latter did connect to the upgraded site before the logoff issue was fixed, but it does not log me off.

Geoff - I am using Firefox 60.4.0 esr (64-bit), and the cookie behaviour will be the result of one extension that I use, CookieQuickManager. Using another extension, OpenWith, I was able to force to open in GoogleChrome, and I agree that the new look-and-feel of the website is much improved.

The reason why I asked Mark is because I also get issues logging out of the site. Funnly enough the only browser I've been able to recreate this on is Firefox 64.0.2 (64 bit) on Windows, being a fresh windows install only a few months back

I have managed to find the cookie on my Firefox browser and can confirm that the expiry date for the SimSimRememberMe cookie is set as 31-12-9999, but from my exeriences do not seem to have any effect in the inability to log out
