Will multibuys be returning as I think that personally £30 is quite expensive for one sim. I'm just so glad that I bought Victoria South Eastern just in the nick of time! xD

Even then, my wallet will burst! What I actually meant was that simulators can be part of a multibuy like before (and this time I am talking about the multibuy packs and not the promo code)

Previous system, buy 2 sims get a discount. Current system, buy 2 sims get a discount. Previous system, discount applied to specific sims only. Current system, discount applies to any sims. Hmm, wonder which is better. Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Ar88, Trainfan344 |

I recently purchased Sheffield and West Yorkshire (both excellent sims) at same time and paid £60. I checked for multibuys and there were none in catagory, so assumed no discount available. If there is a multibuy code (news to me), where is it mentioned, and if it exists somewhere, why have it in first place. If 2 or more sims are purchased together its presumably a simple matter to automatically apply a discount to the purchase. It seems I have been innocently overcharged (maybe misled) - I am due a refund ? Log in to reply The following user said thank you: thegamer7893 |

It would make sense (although that's easier said than done with technology) for it to apply automatically. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

Users can enter whatever coupon code is valid at the time (which may or may not be more than the multibuy, so auto applying it may cost the user) but ultimately we're not going to spoon feed discounts that come out of the developers' own pockets. The fact that it is possible to claim a discount does not mean you were overcharged; it's no different from forgetting to cut a coupon out of the newspaper (or not even realising there was one to cut out till later). Out of curiosity, how many times have you done searches for coupon codes when you shop with other retailers? Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

What I actually meant was that simulators can be part of a multibuy like before (and this time I am talking about the multibuy packs and not the promo code)I think that the current sim pricing structure is acceptable*. A lot of hours/days/weeks/months go into creating/testing a sim. I've spent many months testing 1 sim and another I could spend only a few weeks! It's a lot of time and hours that goes into a simulation and that time is not paid for. Sure the developer/testers get their share of simulation fees upon each sale, but there's still the countless amount of time spent pre-release where you're frying your head ironing out bugs! Take how Steam does it's gaming/DLC structuring - If you looked at SimSig as the loader being the base sim and each simulation being DLC (which technically, it is as you only have a free demo for the payware ones that you do not purchase), most games you'd pay to even install the loader! Given how the loader/freeware sims are FREE, I think that the pricing for certain payware sims is correct in it's total cost. This is just my personal opinion and I am sure that there are people out there who may disagree with me. Everybody sees it in their own way! *The ONLY criticism I would have is that the LOYALUSER 15% stays mandatory for 2+ sims. Imagine if you bought 4 sims - a 15% knock-off for 4 sims is still going to be really costly! I would suggest if you purchase over £50-worth of simulations, maybe an increase to 30% or 50% depending on the sim size? EXAMPLE Small: Keep at 15% overall Medium: 30% off after spending £50 on simulations Large: 50% off when you spend over £60 if you buy 1 large sim and a few smaller ones....say your total works up to about £80 - take it down to £40? All just personal opinions and welcome to feedback/discussion. :) ***For anybody who just fell asleep reading this huge essay - you can wake up now! :D*** The Welsh contingent. Aron, or Ar to mates. Okay - even I've just seen how much I wrote back and would probably include a TL;DR - Structure is fair, a lot of time is spent on simulations that is completely voluntary, maybe only a small tweak to the LOYALUSER code.

I was not aware that multibuy is not being used, and as its in the Products section, I assumed there were no discounts on offer and looked no further, so purchased in usual way, as I do on other sites. I have bought loads of sims from Simsig, but not for several months. I will be more careful next time and will accept the £9 lost discount as a donation to your team. Even at £30 each, these are still good value compared with other products. Why not add a line to the Multibuy page like - When purchasing more than one sim, a discount may be available etc. Log in to reply |

Just a suggestion but if you go into the products page header and then the multi buy drop down, this, when you do a search brings up nothing, no matter which sim title you put in. This may be required for something later on in Sim Sig world but at the moment appears to not provide anything useful to the user so why add to the confusion by inferring there is something to be had. Surely the wording when checking out on the individual sim page infers to the buyer that you can get a discount by using the code given and shows how you qualify to get that discount.
