Have a look at this classic Black & White film uploaded by the user 'Smockberg' at www.britishrailways.tv

Be warned that it is about 20-minutes long(!) but I certainly found it to be very interesting viewing. I recall seeing steamer LNER Class A4 4468 Mallard at once point, a very difffernt looking Belle Isle and there's even some sights of the signalboxes in the area too!

Hope you all enjoy it and that you'll watch it through to the end.

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

Marvellous stuff, complements my 1955 KX timetable (still work in progress I'm afraid). Will have to adjust timings to allow for those massive wheelslips on loco's out of KX! Now if only to get the 'Pick Of The Pops' backing soundtrack onto the sim LOL

Great stuff. Incredible to think how it's all changed now. Didn't realise that Moorgate was an "Outside" station so to speak as it's all buried in concrete now.
