Having started playing Euston again recently I remembered a question I meant to ask a few years ago when it was first released, and which I haven't been able to find the answer to anywhere. What is the maximum length of train it is possible to fit between signals 91 and the limit of shunt L103 on the Up Engine Line 2? Log in to reply |

I wondered if I should be using the LOS, but had no idea if trains would fit.The signals are 170 metres apart. Fitting a train in might require a bit of a margin. After all, reversing a train behind 92 or 93 means that it can only reach Euston via the Up Engine Line 1 (and thus platforms 5 to 15). I assume that trains for platforms 1 to 4 would not come from the DCS? Log in to reply |

The other place to reverse them is behind 112 or 113; there's plenty of room on the Down Through Siding.

You suggest that as if I were writing a TT - I'm simply asking with regard to the 79/80 TT, as I have no idea if I'm reversing trains at the right location where a reversal is required at "Park Street Tunnels". I simply route from 88 to 105 and let the sim decide which signal to stop the train behind. Log in to reply |

"Park Street Tunnels" is the space between 92 and 105, between 91 and the LOS for Up trains passing 103 and Down trains on the UEL, and the berth track circuit of 94. (Hmm, I'm not sure why it's the last of these rather than 91 for trains via the Rat Hole.) I'm not familiar with that timetable. Beyond what's been said in this thread you'll have to ask the author or wait for one of the ex-Euston signallers to chip in. Log in to reply |
