A local passenger train derailed at the junction near Hunghom Station. Perhaps a points failure as it seems that the points suddenly switched from Platform 4 to Platform 7 when the track is occupied? The points machine should still be made by Westinghouse. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Here's another photo from the Internet. Curiously, only three carriages in the middle appear to have derailed. Edit again: Information given by MTR (photo by Ming Pao news website): More edit: Just found out that Apple Daily has obtained an internal recording of the signalling display, but a subscription is needed to view it so I don't think I can legally mirror the video. You can see a screenshot of it though: https://hk.news.appledaily.com/breaking/realtime/article/20190917/60053627 Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Something horribly wrong with the link above. This works: https://video.appledaily.com.hk/mcp/encode/2019/09/17/3892441/20190917_ccm_03v7_w.mp4 (and doesn't require a licence). Log in to reply |
