As we're exploring the realms of fantasy, why not Dolton Junction in the US (Google it if you haven't heard of it). The railway equivelant of spaghetti junction. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

Something different, maybe a German Simsig would make a nice change. There are so many European layouts that would make great Simsigs.

So at bigger stations there is still a fair amount of shunting going on. Log in to reply |

Oddly enough I still have a layout drawer which can be good for creating mockups even if you can't play them: I did do a mockup of Basinsgtoke ASC (Tisbury to Pinhoe) which came out well: I still have it. My next project on that would be to do a mockup of Cologne's S-Bahn & U-Bahn which would be quite a good one: Cologne is quite large and many of the routes are high frequency with the lines extending into the suburbs a bit. Workstations would be a Central one and also suburban ones. The map of Cologne's network can be found at https://www.kvb.koeln/fahrtinfo/images/2020_liniennetzplan_bahnen_koeln_2000x1414.jpg and the whole lot could, I think, be divided into 7 workstations. I will post it elsewhere in the SimSig forums if I get it finished. Dave Last edited: 11/03/2020 at 11:34 by DaveHarries Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I'm ...not entirely certain what to feel about Signalsoft stuff myself, after trying their demo a while back. There were quality control problems with things like, say, driver calling in for being held at danger after moving off at speed complete with the number of their next, green, automatic signal. But that's a while ago now, and I'd expect their payware panels to be better. But back on topic...Between Plymouth-Penzance, Settle-Carlisle, and something that connects Portsmouth to other sims, I wonder which would be the least likely. XD Log in to reply |
