I would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff, for all the many hours spent coding for V5 and bringing SimSig forward to a more user friendly state.

I know there are those that don't like change, this threads not for you, not for your problems or anything else.

If you want to add a thank you then please add a post in this thread

Yes! Thank you Geoff!

When I think back to how things were when I downloaded Westbury for the first time over 15 years ago, SimSig has evolved so much. (15 years is a guess! Probably longer than that!)

I really like V5. No criticisms from me! For now!!

The first meet was in Bristol in 2006 and I'd been using it longer than that!
As for pints - not enough!!!

I think I've lost count of how many years it is now since I first saw SimSig advertised on uk.railway and waited eagerly looking at the screenshots of the LTS line. I've definitely lost count of how many hours I've spent playing it.

Thank you Geoff, and all the other developers who have worked on it over the years! It's come a very long way since then.

A lot of hard work went in to this and the result is brilliant!

I especially like the new "full timetable" which appears when click on the headcode.

Also impressed by the new fonts which are more easily read by we "senior" Simsiggers..............

Thank you everybody - I have to admit the somewhat harsh negativity spoke louder to me yesterday than the positive comments. I have been reminded that they are in a very small minority. I am now concentrating on the constructive criticism instead to try to be more accessible to everyone.

Hi Geoff

I have been around since LTS and Liverpool St days. SimSig has evolved leaps and bounds over the years, and I can't imagine the pain gone through by you and your team developing the monsters such as London Bridge etc. And to do that authentically and realistically, right down to factoring in defensive driving techniques, makes this sim suck you into the real word of signalling / NCO'ing. To rise up and also take on LUL, Hong Kong, Chicago and Aussie sims is just a bonus.

When I uploaded V5 yesterday I was nothing more than impressed. User friendly interfaces, and more tools on Moss Vale like the route queuing.

I don't post much, and believe the silent majority are more than happy with V5 and appreciate the efforts put in by the whole team. The criticism comes from those who don't read the forum in the first instance, or are frustrated by change.

Don't let it get you or your team down!

Cheers

Jon

Love it or hate it, Change is always good, I have (buried deep in an archive) the old Paged versions of sims that were released.

People weren't sure about the "Scrolly" sims when they came along, but Geoff and the team worked hard to make SimSig adapt to newer technology, and this Loader is, in my opinion, a step forward again.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this new Loader!

I've been away from SimSig for a while due to stuff happening in real life. Had a bit of spare time and decided to play a bit of Port Talbot. Upgrade is brilliant. I love it. Thanks to everyone who worked on it. Well done.

Good work.

Played Rugby centre, north and coventry together all chained.

Love the click on headcode box, much more details, easier to read. The bigger clock, and its a lot easier to add reminders to things.

Sure there are other features behind the scenes too.

Hopefully some more sims to follow with the new setup. I know of wigan wallgate and warrington, the more the better!!

Keep up the good work Geoff and team.

Sincere thanks from here too Geoff: V5 is a big improvement - even if it took me a while to get used to the changes. Looking forward to a whole raft of new sims... ;)

Best,
