Manual (not Manuel) says any trains to Earles Sidings require a phone call, however I've left this for over 20 minutes, and the signaller just doesn't want to pick up the phone.

Perhaps he's gone for a trip on the shunter down to the quarry...

Have you tried hanging up and calling again? That happened to me with Port Talbot if I remember. Calling up Margam and it kept ringing. Took so long I had to hold the train at a red. I hung up and called again. Answered within 15 seconds. I think there's a certain randomness to it, which is a good thing.

The manual appears to have been updated for the extension that never happened as it covers Totley - Edale boxes. the phone call is required for trains entering the sidings, but is placed by the Earles Sdgs Signaller to the Chargeman (out of scope of the public release). no phone call is required for the current released version of the sim.

I suspect the phone call you're trying to make will only give the option to stop/block traffic, not permission to send a train. I honestly can't remember. However the manual as it stands is incorrect.

Ah, it does seem that way considering the manual does have entries for Grindleford and Totley boxes....
I wonder if the extension will ever come to fruition considering the sim isn't even on sale anymore - I've always had a soft spot for the Hope Valley line.

User manual now pared back to the extent of the last public release.
