On opening the above simulation, I was greeted with 2 seeded trains which seem to have problems. As will be seen in the attached snapshot, 1Y03, which is dividing in platform 2, is not properly in this platform and 6J87 on the UGL, on request to move to Hinksey Sidings, has to be signalled through a LOS board with the route set up manually. Is there something wrong here? Terry. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Terry Log in to reply |

Terry I don't have access to the sim at the minute, will check the 'easy' bit and double check with you which option you picked on start up. There are four different "year" choices. Just want to check you have started in 2011 to 2016 which would seem to be the closest choice to the date of the timetable? Hi Paul, just to confirm that I am using the 2016 era simulation. Thanks. Terry. Terry Log in to reply |

With regard to 1YO3, the problem is resolved by reducing the length of this train from 188 metres to 144 metres. However, I'm a little surprised since the length of Platform 2 is only 103 metres according to the manual! I shouldn't be surprised because the other simulation for 2018 (August 9th) also uses trains of this length in Platform 2 and also Platform 1 which is also shown to be only 103 metres long! Something not quite right here. This still leaves the question of 6J87 being instructed to pass a 'limit of shunt' signal, I didn't know that this movement was authorised? Terry. google maps shows the platform as being 170ish metres, however this isn't taking into account the location of the signal so 140ish does seem to be about right. I can reproduce what you've explained and Ive logged this on mantis for the developer to check whether the manual or sim data is incorrect. edit: I think the timetable needs updating. on opening I get a compatibility warning and the analyser shows the Bicester line trains all have invalid timetables when running in 2016 mode. I'm wondering if 6J87 is a engineering train as thats the only explanation for it originating at kennington Jcn. I'd be suprised if it was booked to be talked past the LOS board, and was more likely reversed on the Morris Cowley branch or behind 102 GPL. Platform lengths pre-Oxford Stage 0 work (late 2016) and post Stage 0 work attached. I've tested the 2016 sim and the platform lengths do appear to be correct and reflect the Stage 0 work. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Terry |

A TT for 2018 isn't going to work too well on the 2016 layout. Ticket rejected.
