It is with regret we have agreed to cancel this event. The situation with COVID-19 is still very fluid with regional lockdowns happening again. The usual hosts for the event were canvassed last night and the majority agreed that they do not wish to attend. The venue is not large enough to cater for more than 12-15 people while maintaining social distancing, and frankly we, as organisers, have no desire to put anybody at risk, nor do we wish for any fines. We're also not going to plan any future event with physical attendance until we can be reasonably sure that the pandemic has subsided enough for it to be a safe and enjoyable event. However, like the last couple of times, we're going to plan an online multiplayer game again. Please watch out for news of that. Apologies but I hope you all understand. Regrettable but understood and I look forward, as - I am sure - do we all, to the time when we can meet up over some pints and SimSig. In the meantime I wonder what we would have been playing and what we will end up playing instead. Dave Log in to reply |

Agreed; sadly but wholeheartedly. But maybe this will be a day when I'm not double-booked and (if I can sort my setup out...) will be able to join.

Thank you, I think it is the best thing to do as indeed the situation is very much still very fluid. May I make one suggestion though for the virtual meet if I may and that's can we have a London chain consisting of Three Bridges, London Bridge, both Victoria ASCs and West Hampstead please? We've had Manchester, Liverpool, Yorkshire, Wales etc so as it was meant to be the London meet, can we run a chain based in London? Glad to see someone has had the same train of thought (pun intended) as me. Would be a good session. Dave Log in to reply The following user said thank you: ajax103 |

The date for the November meet is coming up fast. I would volunteer to host one of the Victoria sims if the London chain were to happen. I'll make a forum topic dedicated to this.
