Version 5.13 of the Loader addresses a number of issues, some of which I'll expand on here: - Non-described TD alarms are suppressed on sims that were built under V5.11 and earlier of the Loader. Ultimately the problem is sim data but fixing the alarm in core code exposed these sim issues. The sims in question will have such issues fixed by their next update. There is also a new message type for TD alarms. - If the Loader receives an unexpected response from the server with respect to licenses, it now treats it as a comms failure which means licenses are still usable. This is an initial step: expect more improvements soon. - TT analyser is better at recognising "same platform" (eg 9, 9F, 9R when they're the same physical platform - however, this also relies on the relevant sim data indicating this) SimSig Boss Last edited: 31/12/2020 at 03:31 by GeoffM Reason: None given Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Mikhail, Phil-jmw, grahamj42, bossman, ajax103, Dick, WesternChampion, headshot119, markt, Steamer, welshdave257, snapscan, mattja19, Dionysusnu, andyallen4014, HST125Scorton, John 23, ccobh, y10g9 |

Quote:---------------------------Not a show stopper, but get this type of message when loading saved sessions in v5.13 . Just checking that this won't effect saved multiplayer hosts when server/client connection checks are made? P.S. Many thanks to Geoff M and the Simsig Team for all their efforts in this most unusual of years! In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream... What it says on the tin, the save was made on an older version of the loader. Normally it will load perfectly fine and run as normal, however its just the usual disclaimer that it can't be guaranteed.

I've had that whenever loading games from a previous loader version and have never encountered any multiplayer problems. I guess it is in case something that has been the reason for the update is present in your sim. User | Multiplayer Host | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

Mantis 32652 (reported by Jan) It's checking the wrong value when loading the save, hence the myriad of different version numbers suddenly appearing in these errors - note they'll always be the same for each simulation; for example when loading a save on SwinDid it will complain it is version 4.0.14. It will afflict all save games until an update is released; which hopefully won't be too long. In general despite the warning, it is fairly safe reloading saves from previous versions of loader - particularly if the save is very recent there shouldn't really be anything that the update breaks. I have a very minor suggestion. I know that there is descriptions of the splash screen in the manual, would there be any way to have these display below each picture in the loader?

Within the ticket, I've also suggested the idea of showing the file name as the caption, as a quick win to allow easier cross-referencing with the Wiki.
