In the Rules section, doesn't the rule about 2R01 need to be changed to "2R01B must appear 1 minutes after 2R01A leaves the area"? And somehow, I get both 2P51s entering, despite the rule about them being mutually exclusive. I got 2 x 2P51 as well. I've now got 1A911 and 1A912 running block and block from Biggleswade. 5E31 blocking Hornsey Reversing sidings (2 x 365 apparently won't fit). “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

5E31 (and 1P53, the service it's formed off) are 12 car trains according to the diagrams I've got, so the length is correct, and you need to reverse it on the DS2. Strangely enough in the sim timetable the train type is indeed listed as 2 x 365, but with a length of 240 m, equal to 3 x 365. I don't know how easy this is to add, but some information in the pop up timetable about unit formations would have been nice. Regarding 1A91, I think this is related to 5H02 and some missing rules. If the latter runs, 1A911 needs to run (so the stock is swapped around), if it doesn't, you need 1A912, where the return service simply uses the stock of the incoming service. Other than that, everything's been alright until now (08:45). Edit: One more thing I've noticed, 2F81 has "Runs as required 0% of time" ticked, even though it should run all the time, as it appears to be a seed service. Hi there iv only been playing this new timetable for a few hours and one thing i have noticed is that some trains when they change to there next working there train description changes but the traction on that train still stays the same so when your on the train list its telling you its a 317 when instead its a 365 or 321. . Chris I've just about got through to the end of the TT. A number of points: 1. In a few cases, both trains of a matched pair enter rather than one of the other. I have noted 1A911 / 1A912, 1A971 / 1A972 and 5D841 / 5D842 all entering, but there could be others. 2. There are instances of trains due to double up or join in P11 at KX. In every case I have had an overlength warning and had to talk the driver past S292 on SL2. However, also in every case the train(s) have fitted into the P11 TCs without blocking the throat. 3. Late in the day, 2P41 is sitting in P10 awaiting 24:36 departure. 2Y78 and 2D86 are then scheduled on top of it to join and form 2V801. In this case there was no overlength warning, but the 3 units on the one platform blocked the throat. 4. There were a number of platforming duplications at KX. I haven't listed them and took the view that finding platforms when the WTT is a bit iffy is all part of the signaller or controller's job. However as written the TT does not work for KX. If you want me to follow up with a list, I'll go back over things for you. 5. 1M91 is routed to Harringay reverse, Hornsey DS2 reverse and Harringay Park Jn. It is listed as a Cl 325 so cannot use that route on the sim as it has no OHLE through Harringay Park. If it is a Cl 325 the route should presumably be by Camden Rd. Jn (and if it's a diesel dragging the unit it presumably can't reverse all the way over the flyover). I know there is a plan to electrify the chord aligned to the plan for the Gospel Oak to Barking electrification but I didn't think that had happened yet. Minor niggles in a nice piece of work, so thanks for the efforts! “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Postal, I'm keeping a list of all platform conflicts I've had, plus some other things (sticky notes are really useful), and I'm currently at about 17:00. Once I've got through the timetable, I'll post my findings.

postal said:I've had the same issue with the double docking in platform 11, although I think the overlength warning is prototypical. The remaining unoccupied track circuits are probably too short to berth another train. If I remember correctly from the previous paged version of Kings X, you could avoid the train overlength warning by setting a route via the intermediate shunt signal. So instead of setting the route from the main signal (for example signal 292) directly into the platform, you could set a route from signal 292 to shunt signal 14 first and then from signal 14 to the platform. Because the driver would see a shunt aspect throughout the route, the train overlength warning will not be triggered. I would love to hear your thoughts. Philo Log in to reply |

Well, I think Peter said something somewhere about a possible bug with the overlength indicator on the Up Slow. Also, while it's clear that some train combinations would trigger the warning, even though they actually fit in the platform, the standard combination of four car (approx. 80 m) + four car ought to work without problems. Indeed Platforms 9, 10 and 11 all fit 8-cars, only just. This is covered under the Simulation Manual. The 2nd Train Overlength Indicators is also covered.

Thanks for that UKTM. The reason I made the report was because the indicator was not triggered for the same generic joins in P9 or P10. I apologise for not making that clear in the original post. Okay, here is the rest of my collected notes, part of it might have been covered already by Postal: Letchworth: • the divide on 2C22 needs to be DR, not DF • 5D84 (and all associated workings) are doubled up without any rules, however this is a bit strange anyway, as 5D842 is a Class 317 (correct), while 5D841 enters as 2 x 313, which seems strange given the fact that its next working is to Peterborough • 5D88 is described as a 313 in the pop-up timetable, while it's actually a 317. There might some other cases of this happening elsewhere. Biggleswade: • 1A91 and 1A97 are missing their rules to prevent double-running, as do all other trains associated with them Hertford North • 5B20 needs to go to the Up Sidings, as a) it's next diagrammed working 5J44 enters from there and b) being a six car train, it doesn't fit in the down sidings anyway Welwyn Garden City • 6L36 is scheduled to stop at Digswell Junction, probably to indicate that it gets overtaken by a few trains there. In the sim however, the stop only gets recognised once the train is past signal 617, so the best thing would probably to show both arr and dep, but have Passing time ticked • 6G23 is scheduled to stop there, too (however in the Up direction), but as it doesn't block any other trains, and then goes into Welwyn Up Sidings, I guess this is intentional • 2V16 needs a DR at Welwyn, not a DF • 5K21 is unnecessary, as its next working, 2K31 is already formed as a divide off 5K27 Hornsey Rev Sidings • 5Z21CL2 has Passing Time ticked Harringay Park Junction • 1M91 has the wrong traction type, either it needs to be diesel hauled, or go via Camden Road Freight Terminal Junction • probably rather a simulation, than a timetable problem, but all respective trains got their current location stuck here Moorgate • 2J72 needs to go into platform 10 King's Cross • the biggest problem was 1C58, which is scheduled to go into P10 at 11:10, where half of it then stables until 16:17. P10 is however occupied until 11:22. What I did was to send it to P11, which was free at the time, and then, once P10 was freed, shunt it over. Alternatively, I think both platforms should be free between 09:36 and 09:48, so it might be possible to swap platform usage at that point, so P10 becomes free at the right time. • 1T61 moved to 7 (conflict with 1D38) • 3P81 moved to 7 (ditto) • 1T63 moved to 10F (ditto) • 1A24 moved to 6 (conflict with 5Z75 and 0P04) • 1A37 moved to 5 (conflict with 1H06) • 3C25 arrives a few minutes too early, but you can just hold it in the station throat until its platform becomes free • 2Y78 and 2D86 moved to 11 (conflict with 2P41, as they need space to join) • 1A971 needs its next working changed to 5V971 Edit: • 5P95 should be a 12 car train, too. All other 12 car trains have the correct length, but the wrong train type. Anyway, thanks for putting together this timetable. I've completed this Timetable and also Peterborough 2010, so they can be chained and I'd say I've caught and changed about 97% of all the errors. I'm gonna double check these with 'Jan's' found errors I'll probably upload it sometime this week. Log in to reply |

Thanks for giving the Sim a severe going over. It just proves that some people find things that others Dont. As for the units . on this TT they were the ones that actuall ran on the day so a train maybe booked for a 3XX but it could / has been substituted. As for Platforming TRUST and the WTT contradict each other unfortunately KGX PSB does not have any simplifiers at the moment. Thanks once again Log in to reply |
