It's been a while since the release of the East Rail Line sim. Although the in-game era ends in 2013, much of the stuff are still the same till 2021. The timetable implemented in 11 July 2019 was completed and uploaded!

The version name of this WTT is E197W001, it has the following changes from the previous version(E192W001):
1. To cope with the new Guangdong Line Through Train Timetable, the through train timetable is revised.
2. In order to enhance the train service on weekday's morning peak, an additional stock (Run 331) will be deployed.
3. Train service between 08:00 and 09:00 will be enhanced to 24 and 23 TPH on down and up direction respectively.

One of the reason I've decided to make this version is mainly due to the 24TPH(Trains per hour) frequency. The last time East Rail has achieved 24TPH was way back in 2005, before the merger of KCRC and MTRC.

In total, there are more than 700 train slots within this WTT. Traffic hour starts from 05:25 till around 01:20(25:20) the next day.

Notable items:
1. Please play the game in 2009-2013 era (After East Tsim Sha Tsui was taken over by West Rail Line).
2. The speed limit in Hung Hom Platform 1 & 4 in this era seems to be wrong, which affected train schedules.
3. I'm not exactly sure Mong Kok Up Loop Neck's route setting has a bug or not. Trains entering from Platform 1 must cancel route of Signal 1248 before selecting Signal 1238.
4. Sha Tin Platform 1 Loop may have a bug, where route selection from Signal 1530 skipped Signal 1567, resulting stuck trains.
5. There is a known error of the outstabling location of train T834, it will be fixed in a later minor update.
6. Make sure to check empty train's (T8XX) destination.
7. Speed limits in 2019 are much different from 2013. (For example, the section between Mong Kok and Hung Hom have a speed restriction of 30-50km/h nowadays.) So you may notice trains arriving a lot earlier than scheduled.

And lastly, the TBL signaling system(The one SimSig made) of East Rail Line had finally ceased operation in 5 February 2021 after over 20 years in service, as the new CBTC signaling system are replacing it for the Shatin to Central Link project construction.

This is amazing! It's always been a shame that the other eras of Hong Kong were fully unused because no timetables existed.
Thank you for making this timetable.

I'm really glad someone's done another timetable. I have the WTT for Racecourse days for the original date if you would like to do something with it.

Your other points:
2: I got the speeds from the scheme plan, but I'll re-check them when I get a moment.
3 and 4: I'll look into these.
7: if you have the speed limits, I can add a new era with those speeds. But I'd need the whole lot. (Hmm, somewhere I've got a cab ride video; that might suffice.)

Okay, speeds at Hung Hom. Outbound, platforms 1 and 3 are shown as 45 and 5/6/R7 are 30, but no value is provided for 4. I have 30 in the sim data but am not sure why.

Inbound, platforms 1 and 4 are shown as having three flashing "10" signs along their length and the note "SPEED INDICATOR CONTROLLED IN @@@", where @@@ is actually a code that I suspect is a location cabinet number.

Number 3: is this a train that doesn't fit within the berth track circuit. Yes, the overlap release won't happen with the route still set and TORR requires the points clear. Or are you talking about something else?

I don't understand what the issue is. 1530 is a Down signal but 1567 is an Up one. Can you explain what's happening that you think is wrong? Do you have a saved game from just before it happens that demonstrates the issue?

Just want to chip in on some information:
These are flashing indicators located trackside that will only be illuminated when the incoming train is driven in Restricted Manual/Cut-out mode, advising the driver to reduce the speed as they approach the buffers. They can be found at Hung Hom and Lo Wu.

The outbound speed for platform 1 and 4 are both 45 after 2009. The inbound speed is 40 instead.

About the "SPEED INDICATORS", they are only used in special circumstances as shown as the following:

And about Number 3, when a train enters Loop Neck from platform 1, it clears Signal 1248 to Signal 1238 before clearing 1238 to the buffer stop. However, after the train stops in front of Signal 1238, the overlap doesn't disappear. As a result, I had to cancel the route from Signal 1248 and wait 120 seconds before setting the route for Signal 1238.

I've considered making more timetables in the future, including the last WTT before freight services were cancelled, as far as I'm free. :D
Also I'm delighted to hear about adding a new era if possible. I could try my best searching for the speed limits after 2013.

Side note:
While I was creating the timetable I found out a outstabling issue at Sha Tin platform 4.

Since 2012, a new outstabling location was created south of platform 4(Also known as platform 4s), the photo above explains it well.
In real life, the train that would outstable at 4s would stop at Signal 1512, before turning into Restricted Manual Mode and shunt forward to Signal 1506. The train behind it that outstables at platform 4 would stop at the normal stopping point for platform 4 instead. In addition, The train at 4s would occupied the track circuit behind Signal 1512, so the one behind also uses Restricted Manual Mode to shunt forward to the final berthing point.
The following photo would give you a better understanding of the relationship between the "4s train" and Signal 1512.

However, in SimSig, because the train at 4s (T801 is used as an example) occupied the track circuit behind Signal 1512, the train berthing at platform 4 (T803 is used as an example) would not be able to stop at the correct berthing location. Instead, it stops at the track circuit behind, which interlocks the point for platform 3 and 4, causing Signal 1522 no longer available to set route into platform 3.

Okay, let's see. 1512 to 1506 is 262 metres but T801 stops 2 metres short of 1506, so it's occupying 33 metres of T1KR at the back. That means that T803 in ATO will stop 6 metres before the end of T2KR, so it's occupying 25 metres of T2KU at the back.

So let's look at points 5530. I have the control tables for them, as it happens, and they are track locked by all of T1KU, T2KU, and T3KU (T3KU is the track with the points on it and T1KU is the one directly above T2KU). So the locking is prototypical.

That means we need to get T803 forward by at least 26 metres. There is 57+6 = 63 metres of space between the two trains, but that can't be used while the train is in ATO (the ATO rules say two trains can't occupy the same track circuit) and the simulation doesn't do mode changes: trains are in ATO or not for their entire life. To change that either means some special rules at Sha Tin platform 4 or a major rewrite of the simulation.

As for number 3, I don't have the control tables for ST interlocking, but the behaviour you're seeing is what I would expect in real life for "standard" controls.

Fixed in the next Loader release (the sim won't need updating; it was a corner case in the core code).
