After some timezone issues a while back, I now see a different time-related problem: the upcoming games box is displaying two games from yesterday. The Yorkshire chain is displayed as started (and might have to be ended by the host?) but the SwinDid game has not been started, so I think it should disappear after a while?

In my experience, games stay on the list until the host cancels them. It seems like this hasn't been done for both cases.

I can't remember what the timeout is set at, but they'll automatically drop off after a set period. However I'll sort them out in a second. Remember if you see a game which doesn't look right, text a moderator on [removed]. See it, Say it, Close it. Thanks for fixing it. I've travelled on British trains often enough to be aware that something like [removed] existed, but without a UK SIM card one can't text such shortcodes

Was a response to Karl's joke. I'm aware that 4-digit codes exist here but if you're in the UK you can't text a British 5-digit code with a Netherlands SIM card (I tried it once and it simply fails to send.)

Games drop off 24 hours after they were due to start, or which have been ended. "Yesterday" isn't really relevant as you could have had a game scheduled to start at 23:45 and it would show as "yesterday" at 00:00 (ie only 15 minutes ago). SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
