When the simulation was written it wasn't possible to hide workstations which didn't apply in the selected era.

The Cherwell Valley workstation is the name of the workstation encompassing the entire simulation area when Leamington PSB shut and control transferred to WMSCC. The relevant era has not been finished but may appear one day.

Interesting.

The Cherwell Valley WS also controls Banbury and Aynho Junction which are obviously part of the Marylebone sim for now at least.

Unless they were to brought over to the Leamington Spa sim, I'm not sure what changes would be required for a Dome Era sim? Have there been changes to the signalling in the Leamington Spa area, I thought it was just a re-control of the existing signalling?

Some fairly minor changes, a few automatics formerly with replacement facilities which could be relied upon became controlled with automatic buttons around some of the UWCs. Aside from that it was mainly line name changes, possibly a few minor speed changes as well.

Edit to add clarification, the above was purely in relation to the are covered by the SimSig Leamington simulation, obviously changes happened on the Banbury side which where a bit more major.

Indeed, but I believe they are captured by the most recent era of the Maryleone sim
