"SimSig Bristol PSB will cover the PSB layout from 1977, through to early 2017 when it began to close in stages with migration of control to Thames Valley Signalling Centre (TVSC). It will also cover St Andrews Junction signal box, and Puxton gate box." From Headshott on Page 1 of this thread, not sure how many era's within that time frame but all the "major" layout changes associated with DMU's etc would be included I suspect! Most of this has already been stated in this thread so I suggest people go back and reread the entire thread first, Especially any post made by headshot119 or pedroathome. The current plan (which as always is subject to change) is looking currently at 3 or 4 eras. The oldest Era will have the original 4 track Filton bank from before it was lifted, with other eras being centred around various large remodelling's that occurred. EG parcels vs platforms 13&15 at Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway RMT platforms & P4, the various differing locations of Filton Junction/Filton Abbey Wood, and the Bulk Handling Terminal at St Andrews. As stated above in the very first post of this forum thread, this is a simulation of Bristol PSB. Therefore the electrification works, and the re-quadrupling of the Filton Bank (and any other changes since) are not included as when these projects were completed, those areas were transferred across to the various workstations in TVSC (Thames Valley Signalling Centre located at Didcot). While Bristol PSB still exists to this day, after the Bristol Area Signalling Renewals & Enhancement (BASRE) was carried out, most of the panel was recontroled into TVSC leaving only a small section of Panel A in the PSB. Bristol itself only controls from the fringe at Exeter near Cogload Junction to Flax Bourton (with Puxton Gate Box still surviving controlling Puxton and Huish Level Crossings). The remains of Panel A, and all of the other 3 panels were transferred. Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Guts, Newhampshires, Banners88, elltrain3 |
