First of all Euston has landed onto the loader format, Watford Junction, Wembley Mainline, and Wembley Suburban have all been updated to include all the various chain options. [Due to the nature of changes user contributed timetables for Euston may require work to function fully in the loader version]

There are also some minor updates to the Wales & Borders area, and Leamington Spa covering off recent issues raised on the forum.

Simulations
Euston
Watford Junction
Wembley Mainline
Wembley Suburban
Cardiff
Chester
Hereford
Leamington Spa & Fenny Compton
Wigan

Timetables
Wembley Mainline 2009/10/15 SX
Wembley Suburban 2009/10/15 SX

As always detailed version change information is available on the wiki.

When trying to start a Euston game on the loader, the "Choose scenario" list contains a bunch of options prefixed [Debug] - seemingly the specific variations of the general closure/blockage scenario.

They are indeed, if you want to pick a debug scenario go for it, if you don't pick a none debug one Gives plenty of choice to the player.

Just tried it out, but after I'd say not even 5 minutes I'd get a message saying the simulation has expired. Any idea what could be causing this?

I've just pushed a version 2.2 to the updater, that should hopefully cure this issue.

It would be perfect if the player was able to choose also an exact combination of scenarios but the selection screen would have to be redesigned, so this is a very nice possibility given the current constraints.

This was intended as a way for developers and testers to be able to check things and work on bug reports without having to continually re-start the sim until the right option is picked at random.

I'm sure we'll discuss this internally given this feedback, but please don't assume that it will remain as a feature since the sheer number of cases makes this a bit unwieldy.

I'm glad Euston is back :D. Had a few couple of hours on it and it's brilliant. It's also nice to how Euston was before modernisation etc.

Huzzah for Euston!

This was one of my most missed sims. Thanks to re-releasing it!

Now the only question remains -

Who made that incredible Euston 1980s timetable, and how can we help bring it up to standard?

Genuinely, one of my favourite SimSig experiences of all time.

It was written I believe by Derbybest who sadly is no longer with us.

1980-81 weekdays was mine. Its already part way through a renovation on loader as I've received additional info for carriage working, loco diagrams and trip information since it was originally written, but its proving to be a big drawn out job as virtually every train has a unique consist.

The EXE-version Euston 1980 TT is one of my all-time faves too. I will often keep running the start-up over and over, until the "platform closed" scenario throws up something that's bound to cause chaos :-)

The 1984 from Chris has imported quite cleanly. Just two fixes, and neither would affect train operation. As Euston is non-ARS the 'old way' of dealing with multiple TD is probably safe, it would be a big job converting to UID and making sure nothing had broken while doing it.
The few bug fixes in the related forum thread would need to be applied if expecting to run it cleanly.

His 1990 though looks like it may have still been a work in progress ?

Can you go through the steps required to import please? For those of us who are "old and slow"!
Thanks

Unless its changed, you should be able to go Timetables, and merge with current

I have included all the extra steps for a cleaner run.

Get the original files (zip of wtt+wtr) from https://www.SimSig.co.uk/File/Details/390
Save to desktop (or somewhere sensible)
Unzip to folder

Start SimSig Euston paused and without a timetable
Timetable 'merge with current' choosing the folder on the desktop (or wherever). SimSig will default to the home timetable directory of the sim, so will need redirecting.
Run 'analyse now'.
Change timetable title to 'Euston 1984 Derbybest' and put in a description like 'My edit of Euston 1984 by Derbybest'
Fix the two bugs
Fix the bugs from the forum thread
Save timetable as..
Unpause and run

Just thinking, is it worth doing a collective update for those bugs ? Would be a shame for the work to be lost.
Or maybe the the 1980 by jc92 be the main one folks want to run ?

There is an item in the SimSig Wiki FAQs which may help people having trouble with running old WTR/WTT timetables.
