It seems odd to me that the following situation hasn't been reported on the Forum.

I'm running the 1999 timetable and have got what appears to me to be a conflict.

6E31 has arrived and stopped in the Arksey Loop with a departure time of 03.50
If 6S31 is actually in the Arksey Loop, why is its TD shown on the main line.
There is a train due on the Down Fast through Doncaster and as far as I can see it would be brought to a stop because of the ‘occupied’ section of track.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what has happened. 4E64 has been brought to a stop at signal D809 which is presumably in the station area.

Update: I went back to the 03.20 save and amended 6E31's timetable to get it moving before the arrival of 4E64

During the testing this happened as well. Talking to someone who has a testers License that this will not happen when it chained with Doncaster Station as it is the guy on the Donny Station panel that will put trains into Arksey Loop. I found this annoying myself to be honest with you as in early tests I had a test train do the same and it had 3 class 1's stopped! I also encountered a few issues with trains coming from Doncaster Station heading towards Scunthorpe, with trains coming off the Avoiding Line. The sim thinks that the trains coming through Donny station! Ideally Hexthorpe Jn needs to be an Entry Exit Point but this should not be an issue when chained to Doncaster Station.

There are also some issues with the Speeds on the Sim the 20mph restriction over Keedby Swing Bridge is not in the sim and also the Sim does not take into consideration Heavy Axle Weight Restrictions for trains that RA8 and over. So every loaded Coal, Oil and Steel Train generates RA10 so they should run at a lower line speed in places such as Goole to Thorne section is 40mph for trains that generate RA8 or over and various places on the Skellow Branch.

A new version of the TT will be added to the Uploads section with the issues that you have encountered sorted hopefully.

Thanks,

0D07, remove Arksey loop from the timetable, and set the entry time for roughly just before it needs to leave the loop and it'll work much better.

Obviously if you write a timetable for the Doncaster Station sim when it's released you'd include the loop timings in that, and it's up to that Signaller to loop the train.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Afternoon,

Already have done what you have suggested, this is a bit of a pain tho for the people who play the sim stand alone, can nothing be done in the core coding that shows a train to stand in the loop goes into the loop. I am just asking if this is at all possible? But as I say I have done a work around.

Yes I will be Doing the same TT for Doncaster Station when that is eventually released.

Thanks,

The issue with that is the off-screen regulation. Yes, the sim could loop and de-loop (!) the freight by itself, but automated regulating on a non-ARS sim never lives up to people's expectations. Yes, we could also do the same as the fast/stopping routing for Doncaster station. And yes, we could make the loop location invisible to the train and mark it as passed, but then trains would pass Shaftholme in the wrong order. It's easier and less traumatic to just have the trains enter in the order they would pass Shaftholme.

There are two other trains in this TT booked into Arksey Loop - 1Z08 and 2Z08.
Both have a timed stop of only 60 secs.
Would these be operational stops or something else?
2Z08 looks like it may be track recording?
Looking fwd to the rest of the series...
