Afternoon,
I too am getting this ACOA on random signals all over the area.
No changes to signals are being made at the time of the ACOA and the signal it happens at seems to be random.
Playing with the supplied TT.
Save game attached.

Attached a save from that game where it can be replicated.

Run from save - start paused.
Unpause - Pause (just 1 second to get the aspects up)
Set 4109 to 4105 for 1W42
Unpause and wait

00:00:00 Loading saved simulation - please wait...
08:00:00 Loaded saved simulation
08:00:09 5H19 arrived at Macclesfield 7 min(s) late
08:00:19 2H17 arrived at Cheadle Hulme 2 min(s) late
08:00:24 1H06 waiting at red signal MD115 (Macclesfield area)
08:00:34 2H29 arrived at Alderley Edge 4 min(s) late
08:00:34 2H29 received an adverse change of aspect at signal 4105
08:00:35 2A82 passed Heald Green South Jn on time

4105 goes Y to YY and straight back to Y

While running I got another at 0802, from 2K24 at 4114 which was then YY.
Oddly running from the 0800 save 2K24 passes 4114 at G before anything can happen.

Both point to something odd around Wilmslow P3

Afternoon all,

Love playing this particular sim - used to sign it as a guard at Northern. But I keep getting caught out by adverse aspect problems due to double red protections all over the place where two trains are following each other.

Take Sandbach as an example. 4043 and 4045 going into the station on the DW. Train 1 has the route all the way through, so trundles through. Train 2 is right behind. 4043 is set to 4045 on auto, and 4045 into the station is set for train 1 ahead. As the route is dropped from train 1 at 4045, it causes 4043 to drop to red as well meaning the driver of train 2 gets a yellow going to a red in front of him.

I'm not too familiar with double red protection rules, but is anyone able to advise how to get around this problem?

Thanks!

Hi,

What's the reason for signal 3883 being held at red in the attached please?

(MS3883 is the wrong-road distant for Cheadle Hulme home on the Up Wilmslow)

Thanks
Jamie

I think there's something amiss with the signal conditions here - if you set any route from 4134 on the Up Styal approaching Wilmslow 3883 clears, I suspect possibly a copy/paste error.
