Over the last few weekends, Greater Anglia have been running trains to Harlow Town, and reversing the sets using the points just to the London side of the station. Trains towards London were terminating on P2, then starting their northbound journeys from P3. Please can someone advise how to make the move work in Simsig? I'm told the trains headed towards Roydon to clear the track circuit, before heading across the points to enter P3. MTIA. Log in to reply |

There's no location for reversing at Harlow Town (London end) - it would be a non-timetabled move as the emergency crossovers (and hand signals, no GPLs) would be managed "on the ground". In SimSig, you would replace and protect 1108, timetable the trains to terminate at Harlow with no onward working, then once the passengers have been disgorged abandon timetable. When they stop at 1108, release & operate the ground frame, manually reverse and then in F2 "run to another timetable" that being the next Down working to start at Harlow. I had a look at this as it struck me as odd too. I think trains were turned at Harlow Mill? As part of the weekday timetable there was a 17-day blockade at Hertford recently that finished today. As part of that there were also 2Oxx Hertford services that were terminating at Harlow platform 1, running ECS to Bishops Stortford and starting back in service from platform 3. Edit - sorry, wrong direction!!! Last edited: 30/08/2022 at 11:09 by Joe S Reason: None given Log in to reply |

But on the 21st August they were running Stansted Airport to Harlow *Town* P2 as 2Bxx and Harlow Town P3 to Stansted Airport as 2Hxx. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
