We have released 9 updates to sims and timetables, plus the Loader. These can be obtained in the usual way through the "Check for updates" button in the Loader.

Three Bridges was pushed, possibly by mistake, but I'll leave that up while I investigate whether there is actually an issue with the release.

As ever, thanks to all the testers and developers - and to you, the customers!

Each of the sims' manual pages should have change logs.

The Loader has a major new feature for platform alterations, though I don't think it's in any released sim just yet (coming very soon if not). This is where you can call designated stations ahead of time to inform them of platform alterations. If you do it in sufficient time then the train will not incur a delay while the passengers scramble to change platform; if not, then the train will be delayed in the station for an interval determined by the developer (eg platform 1 to platform 2 might be a 2 minute change; platform 1 to platform 12 might be a 7 minute change). The alteration is made by using the existing outgoing calls feature.

Ooh that's interesting and adds another level of realism.

Yes it is out in the new loader but as yet there are no sims where it has been implemented. It will not happen in any of the existing sims until such time as the developer enables it and releases an update of the sim. Reading the description it is enabled on a platform by platform basis so it may only be enabled at certain platforms or locations when it is implemented in a sim.

In a lot of cases (probably most) changes are under the bonnet tweaks to how it works rather than visible changes.

Can I ask when Leeds East/West is going to be updated to fix the issue of head codes disappearing in platform 1?

Can't see anything in the Staffordshire manual about these changes. Last changes listed were in 2021.

Does this apply to crew changes as well? I think it would make sense for similar reasons to passengers.

If anything even more – with bad coordination, in reality a train might actually leave before all the passengers have made their way over to the new platform, but it definitively wouldn't leave without its traincrew.
