Whilst maintaining signal T47 at danger on the down platform at Truro (Plat 2) an 8/HST rang 'waiting at signal'. Cleared T47 and it moved at 2mph for 2 seconds (just under 2 metres) before starting the station dwell. Can this be adjusted?

Truro is extremely tight for stopping positions, to allow the train to clear the crossing the 2+8 HST car stop marker is right up against T47. Given defensive driving policies etc, I wouldn't be surprised to find a driver not performing station duties unless T47 is off. The 10 car stop board (Which I presume to apply to IETs) is beyond T47 to give you an idea of how tight it is.  Post has attachments. Log in to view them. IET stop boards are purple with black and yellow hatched surrounds. The 9/10 IET stop board on Truro platform 2 is to the left of picture, on the end of the platform. Log in to reply |
