My next guess was

33. Hamstead?
18. Williamwood?

Then I give up.

Mea culpa. I put the quiz together a while ago. The station has now disappeared from the listing as some of the preserved railway timetables have been removed. When I set the question Levisham was listed in the Network Rail Index. I've put an error trap into the quiz file so that won't happen again (hopefully!).

Question 33 has been replaced with a new poser for you all.

You've now got another question for 33 so all is not lost.

Wasn't what I thought and doesn't strictly fit the cryptic crossword style of the question but I'll have to give a tick to that. There is still a second option which is up for grabs.

Oops. This has also thrown an error with Question 28 which has now been replaced.

The original Question 18 is still valid (thank heavens).

Jamie's answer means that it has taken just over 24 hours for the combined brain power of the SimSig community to destroy my dreams of setting a challenging quiz (even allowing for the fact that originally there were two invalid questions set). Apologies for my inadequacies in that respect.

Now that we have reached the end of the road the scores on the doors give this listing for the Hall of Fame:

Peter Bennet 10
UKTrainMan 9
9pN1SEAp 5
Dionysusnu 4
37223 3
nroberts 3
Red For Danger 3
andyallen4014 2
andyb0607 2
swiftaw 2
Tempest Malice 2
AndyG 1
DaveHarries 1
JamesN 1
Jan 1
Mikehax 1
welshdave257 1

51 answers to 50 questions due to the double bluff on Question 33.

When that is all said and done, it is congratulations to half man, half biscuit.

Hope its been a bit of fun and a warning that the 2023 quiz is already on the back burner.
