Hello, I own Rugby South and Center and a friend owns Center only. We would like to run a multiplayer session together where he is controlling center and I south. I start a server using either south or central. I then start a new session and connect to this server. I am only able to join when I try to join the same sim as I host. That means that if I host on central, I am not able to join as south. In the same way, he is only able to connect to the server when I host as central. If I host as south, he is not able to connect. The only way we are able to run the sim in multiplayer now is by controlling on the same sim. Since we both own central that is the only sim we can connect to at the moment. What are the steps we should take if I would like to control south and he central? Log in to reply |

Start the simulation you want to play, in singleplayer mode. Then go to Multiplayer > Connect to External Signalbox. Select the simulation your friend is hosting, enter the same IP and port you'd use to join that simulation, and connect. The sims will then "chain", transferring any trains between them at the boundary. Make sure you start your simulations paused, at the same time, with the same timetable, or you'll run into issues.
