I don't see how it works.Without using the through acceptance (The train isn't going through), route the train up to CE543 on the CSSN - Crewe PSB connecting line. The train will then reverse and route it's self back into the Coal Sidings James Last edited: 11/07/2023 at 16:35 by pedroathome Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: John 23 |

I gave up on Crewe simulation weeks ago after spending good money on it. How was this set up designed ? Did they take a ball of string and screw it up into a tangled web to form the layout. Sorry, I prefer a simulation that follows the geography of the land as near as possible. Its a pity as, after a long wait, I was looking forward to this sim.

Its a pity as, after a long wait, I was looking forward to this sim.Unfortunately, the track layout at Crewe is very convoluted, as is the method by which it's controlled. While you could, perhaps, put the goods lines above the station lines, the resulting simulation would have a huge height; the general preference is to keep vertical scrolling as low as practicable. Essentially, to the right of the simulation, you have the WCML running south to north, with branches etc. like any other simulation. At the far left you have the goods lines, again running south to north, which in reality sit to the west of the WCML. Gresty Lane, which controls the branch to Shrewsbury, then sits in the middle; the line to Shrewsbury crosses the bulk of the goods lines immediately west of the station. It's a bit like Cardiff, where the first 2/3 are the mainline, with the Valleys then doing their own thing on their own panel, with connections between them and the main line. I think its difficult to replicate what is a hugely complicated area and they've done a good job here, IMHO. Looking at youtube cab rides I really dont see how it could have been done better
