Been playing this one for a while now and hugely enjoying it. Managed to get through to 1945 without any errors and was really surprised to get a wrong platform penalty when 2C68 arrived at Dorridge platform 3 and turned into 5C68. This hasn't been a problem with all the other trains that turned round at Dorridge. Curiously both 2C68 and 5C68 are both marked to arrive/depart from plat 4 so not sure what the problem is - equally curiously other trains that do the same thing but do not generate an error do not have platform three listed on the arriving train. Even more odd, unless I'm using it wrong, if I edit the timetable of 2C68 - the platform selection dropdown for the location 'Dorridge' is blank but is set to 3 for 2C68 till I try and manipulate it - in which case it becomes properly blank and 2C68 operates without error. I guess this is a bug in the TT. Thanks Dave Log in to reply |

Are you using a user-supplied timetable? Hi - no - am using the stock timetable. This is the only train with platform 3 marked as it's destination. As I said, the curious thing is you cannot set platform three as a destination at dorridge via the gui - the platform list for that location is grey'd out - am guessing this particular train has platform 3 left over from a previous version where the platform numbers could be set at Dorridge. Just selecting a different destination via the gui (and not saving) and changing it back to 'dorridge' will clear the 'platform 3' attribute, and the timetable no longer generates a 'wrong platform' error so am sure this is a bug in the timetable. Dave, Is there any chance of a save game please? Of note, platform 4 mentioned above does not exist, but I can see an issue where Platform 3 does not appear to be selectable as an option in the sim. Sure - see attached. [EDIT] Apologies - just realised I did say platform 4 in the original post - that was a typo and should have been platform 3 In the attached, 2C68 is seconds away from arriving at Dorridge Plt. 3 - ACI has already changed its name to 5C68, but it hasn't actually arrived yet. There are no penalties as yet. 2C68's timetable has plat 3 listed as a destination - unlike all other trains that stop at this platform at Dorridge - despite the fact that this isn't actually selectable as a platform via the timetable editor. As mentioned, if you fiddle with the timetable and just change it to stopping at Dorridge, rather than plat 3. No wrong platform error occurs. Dave Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Hmm - notice 2C75 also has a platform allocated before a headcode change to 5C75 at about ~2320 - however this is for platform 1 and doesn't cause the same wrong-platform penalty as 2C68 gets when stopping at Dorridge 3. Dave Log in to reply |
