does the IP for the router port forwarding have to have 3 digits in each of the last two sections where the x's are. E.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx

set up my router to forward ports 50505 and 50507. whats next. do I need to do any firewal changes.

If you have set your router to forward ports 50505 and 50507 to the correct internal IP address then the job is done.

I've set the ports up to my default gateway Ip.

You need to forward them to the IP address of your computer. Not anywhere else. I'm trying to help you here, but if you can't follow the simple instructions in the router manual or in the video I sent you then perhaps you need to consider whether you should be playing with your router settings.

I'm aware your trying to help. But the person who's ment testing the connection says they'll do a test with you then doesn't bother tends to makes you mind. But I'm thinking this the last go if it fails thats it I give up.

You said that a while ago, and we're still here trying to give you help. It doesnt really feel as if im getting through to you with my posts, so ill make this my last on this thread

Ask on the shoutbox then as I said in a previous post! Theres always someone online, be it a moderator or a normal user. All of them can connect to an online game.
