Hi, I had a train from Meadowhall via Nunnery which I had to terminate in platform 8b (near end) instead of the usual P5. When its next working came up, which was to Woodburn via Nunnery, the train was pointing Up and the Up (P8A) TRTS plunger was activated, necessitating the train to be manually reversed as it could not see the starter (running shunt 139-148-153-W224) as Off. A save would be useful. Pedantic note: that routing does not have any "running" shunts. All routes are signal-to-signal. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

In reality, Northbound (Down) departures are only allowed from P8 (and P6) at Sheffield in an emergency, usually as a result of a failure. Having to re-platform an inbound service does not constitute an emergency and hence in the real world it would be necessary to shunt (via the south end) from P8 to P1, P2 or P5 to start the northbound service from a main aspect signal.
