The old VirtueMart has gone, to be replaced by the HikaShop module. This is easier to configure and gives us more options in the future. Hopefully your user experience will improve also! Give it a try and make a donation! (Please... come on, these developers work hard to produce the simulations and what's a fiver, tenner, twenty to you?)

Oh, and you may have noticed the extra advert box. It's there for a reason but I'm not allowed to tell you why under the terms of the advertising deals. Have a think about what you could do with the adverts to be helpful to us!

Good question! The "Add to Cart" buttons on all the pages appears to be non-functioning. They're fully clickable but that's is about it.

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

All worked OK for me. Added meet entry to cart, went to checkout on left hand side and went through PayPal OK.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Yes, just got Andy's order confirmed. The only thing I can think of is that you weren't logged in at the time. It should be more helpful in that respect. However, you managed to post so you must have been logged in...? Anyway, clicking on the Shop link should bring up a new window on the left hand sider, under the advert and above the Main Menu, called "HikaShop Cart Module". This is where you'll see items added as you click Add.

You do need to complete your name and address though, otherwise it just recirculates- without telling you why.

For the uninitiated, the Shop Home Page is a bit short of signposts. As the Page is developed, it would be helpful if there could be clear indications as to where you need to click if you want to pay the admission fee for a meet (and presumably at some date in the future pay for SimSig branded stuff like polo shirts) rather than having to take a punt at the "Other" link. Similarly the Payment page will need some additional signposting (like the need to make sure there is a billing address entered). However, a welcome innovation for SimSig which should make things easier in the long run.

I don't get a checkout or view cart option anywhere on my screen, I have booked on the events page for the meet but still can't pay.

The module is at the top of the left hand side bar (as per illustration):

If you are not logged in, the module does not show.

1: - Have you clicked on "shop".?
2: - Have you got the page headed products with what looks like 2 folders- one sims and one "other"?
3: - click on "other" (or whatever it is you want).
4:- Click on the item you want
5:- Add to Cart
6:- then you have the trolley on the left hand part of the screen like Postal did.
7:- Proceed to checkout remembering to fill in your billing address details

I have followed the instructions above, both before and after - I only get an advert in the place where Postal's screen shot is showing a trolley.

Postal probably used an ad blocker. On mine the cart appears below the advert and above Main Menu. I'll have a look into the issues tonight. In the meantime, please report what browser you're using and version.

AndyG came up with the answer - the shop itself was public access but the cart module was limited to administrators only! Sorry for the inconvenience, all should hopefully be ok now.
