As well as SimSig, the BBC News website opens automatically when I open my default browser 🙂 Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

Can't think of Euston without thinking of Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill, of Imber in the county of Wiltshire, CBE in his former role as chair of Network Rail telling an engineering firm they would get no further Network Rail contracts unless they fired an engineer who'd stated the station today is dangerously overcrowded and unsafe. https://www.politico.eu/article/uk-rail-minister-peter-hendy-fired-gareth-dennis-engineer-safety-concerns-trains-london-euston-station/ https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/euston-trains-station-delays-london-overcrowding-cancel-b2527730.html (named for the one in Tasmania, not in Russia) Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Tempest Malice |

That isn't what happened, though. He wasn't "rabble-rousing on Twitter" - he was interviewed by the Independent. Following this, Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill, of Imber in the County of Wiltshire, CBE and Chair of Network Rail at the time, started a campaign to find out which company employed him and then blackmail that company's CEO to sack him. To my knowledge he didn't tweet about it until after he was sacked.

This started as a topic about a BBC clip showing Euston as it was when first rebuilt. Rather than cluttering up this topic and advertising the chips on our shoulders perhaps people might like to read the topic on WNXX about the Gareth Dennis situation. This has a lot of detail and information. It was up to 13 pages at the last count - https://www.wnxxforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38995&start=300.
