Hi, Just started using SimSig, and while I'm slowly making progress on understanding what to do, I seem to have encountered an issue I can't explain. I'm trying the free Langollen sim. I open the sim, and load a timetable - there's a few options so I use timetable C. Time starts at 00:00, but the first train doesn't appear until 09:40, so I set the sim speed to the highest and go and make a cup of tea. First train appears and I work out how to get it to the right platform at Llangollen. So far so good. Then the second train appears and wants to go to platform 1 at Llangollen so I get it there, but it appears it's supposed to join with another train that spawns down there. But whatever I seem to do, that train never appears. The headcodes are 0L00 which appears to be just the engine appearing at the Loco Sheds, and 5C02 which is supposed to appear at "SLL5" on "TT Start" according to the timetable on F4. That's 4 x Mk 1 carriages by the looks of it, but nothing I've tried ever makes it appear. It doesn't show up on the main screen, or in the F2 train list. I assume there's something simple I'm missing, but could some kind soul give me an idea of what it is, as that effectively makes the sim fairly pointless as you're basically left with one train running up and down the line on it's own. Many Thanks Graham Log in to reply |

I think you may have opened the simulation without a timetable then opened the timetable afterwards. This would result in what you are seeing. You should select the timetable you wish to run at the point of choosing the simulation - the default option is "None". Cheers Log in to reply |

Thank you, that was indeed what I was doing. I selected the sim then just clicked start. What I get for only watching a few old tutorial videos on youtube first! Many Thanks Graham Last edited: 26/03/2025 at 15:22 by VFRHawk Reason: None given Log in to reply |
