I am in the process of creating a timetable for the Exeter sim. Working on the commuter lines (for Barnstaple and Exmouth) there are a few request stops. I am wanting to treat these as set down only, as this is a suitable time for a odd passenger here and there to get on or off. What I am trying to get to here is, in Excel, how do I tell it to just set down. Also, what is the code for a through line stop? Sorry if this is on the forum somewhere else or in the instructions, but so far, I have not been able to find any information on this. Log in to reply |

s is set down eg 10s48 means a train is booked to set down at 1048 and may leave station earlier t is through line stop hope that helps Log in to reply |

Right, if you want it in CSV format to convert to SimSig then it isn't possible as far as I know. If, in the spreadsheet you use anything other than : in the time then it will not load correctly. The other way you could try is the other import/export option which converts it to a txt file. In this format you can alter so much more.

In SimSig timetables the d character is used instead to get the same effect. I personally use the set down facility a lot to speed up Loco run rounds and shunt moves, especially if a reverse is required on a running line. 0E62S SHEFFIELD --:-- 03d00 P2 SHEFFIELD SS&CWM --:-- 03d04 SHEFFIELD SS(S87/92) --:-- 03t11 SHEFFIELD 03:12h 03:35 P1B J:1E62 N:5E62 In the above example from Pascals Sheffield 19/83/4 t/t a shunter is booked to move after attaching vans in P2 to goto P1 to detach vans from another service. The vans are attached before 0248, the 03d00 & 03d04 departure times allow the shunter to move as required down to the carriage washer to reverse back to S92 to await the arrival of 1E62 in P1B which arrives @ 0310, before drawing down to join 1E62 and form the empty vans as 5E62. The 03t11 time indicates the through line stop which holds the shunter there till 1E62 arrives. A rule can also be added to 0E62S to make the 03t11 extend in the case of 1E62 running late HTH Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!! Log in to reply |

Geoff may correct me, but I have the impression that it's no longer supported. There's a guide to using Convdata and how to write a timetable with it here. Log in to reply |
