As many of you will have been aware, there have been a few public threads and a number of private messages which have caused a lot of distress to various people. While it may have appeared that we were taking no action, behind the scenes we were collating the evidence. We are now at a stage where the removal of the particular user has been effected in a formal and correct manner. This does not mean to say the user will try again under a different name - we will, of course, be watching but please let us know if you see anything suspicious.

A number of people have reported receiving unreleased simulations from this individual. As they have not come from this website or from one of the developers, I would be very suspect of their nature and content (Peter has said more elsewhere). At the very least I would perform a full virus and malware scan of your system if you opened one of these files.

Apologies for the problems over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully to a large degree they will now go away and we can carry on doing what we enjoy - playing being a signaller!

Geoff,
I think I speak for the majority of people on here when I say that you do not need to apologise to us. What has occurred was down to one individual and not your doing.

To that extent, I would like to take the oportunity to say thank you publicly for what you have been doing to deal with the situation, all in your own time when you could have been spending time with your family (Or building sims :-)).

Noel

Not sure who this is about but i think i have an idea from the (some people have reported recieving unreleased sims) - i got some - i deleted them as it is not fair for a normal signaler like me on SimSig to have them and others not able to have access

Thanks
