If anyone was interested, there was a theft of signalling cable between Rushey Platt and Wootton Bassett Junction yesterday (well it is past midnight BST now) at aproximately 2045 which knocekd all of the signals out between Rushey Platt JN and Thingley Jn. I had to decide that would get the 2000 service back to bristol (1C29) from the meet didn't I. We ended up being stuck in P4 at Swindon for almost 3 hours while FGW and Network Rail were trying to sort solution out. There was even talk of TBW (Temporary Block Working) being implemented to allow us to go to bristol temple meads. Unfortunately having been stuck in P4 we couldn't go onto the kemble lines which all trains to cardiff and swansea did (missing out their stop at bristol parkway) and everything for temple meads behind us was diverted via Westbury, so we just sat :( I am guessing that the Badmington lines were probably also affected so it would of been the entire lower half of pannel 1 (basically all of it except for the kemble lines) that was knocked out. Ouch. Unlucky. Really unlucky! Information from my source says it was reported at around 21:22:59 and expected to be cleared 23:00. At 22:32:12 delays were reported as being expected until further notice. Reported cleared at 01:42:28. There was me thinking it may affect GeoffM getting home (probably did, actually(?)) but totally forgot about how it may affect you getting home! Nothing personal of-course! Didn't see you on the concourse Nath but super bad luck! I am glad I was booked to leave 6 minutes later on a HST via Westbury instead! Actually got there for a 30 minute wait for the 21:55 to Bristol TM and had you been on my train, going up to BTM on the stopper would have no doubt been quicker I couldn't believe from the time I left Trowbridge to the time I finally landed at Wimbledon that morning, it took just about the same time as it would for a Class 91 to do Kings Cross to Edinburgh on a semi-fast Log in to reply |

UKTM, all i can say for sure is that we got to swindon on time at 2100 and didn't leave swindon till 2345 where we left under green signals. When we got to chippenham, there was another hst bound for london just departing chippenham. Log in to reply |

Me and Tristan ended up on the same train as Dibble, but only saw him at Reading once we'd all got off
