I assume they didn't go to St. Pancras so where did they go to in London?

I suspect it went to Ripple Lane yard, near Barking. I believe there is a track connection off HS1 to there.

Ah, yes indeed I can see it on GE. This also explains the "curtain-sided Mega Combi swap bodies" (what's in a name) as there is a car (un)loading yard there.

Yep, line off the 'Up' line between Thames Avenue and Kent Avenue road bridges, runs alongside the line for a bit then joins up with the L T & S R.
