Am only going to allow until Wednesday evening on these two before I give the answers on these. After that I will pick through and see what comes up before I set any more. Come Thursday it will be a week to the day since I posted them.

Firstly: www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6153956116/
Secondly: www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6153957812/

Good luck.

No. I assume you mean Dorrington, Shropshire but that is the wrong part of England.

Seeing as no-one has guessed the most recent two that I posted, I will give the answers.

The repeater signal - www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6153956116/ - is at Kennett, East Anglia while the level crossing gate box shown at www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6153957812/ is Roskear Junction, Camborne, Cornwall.

Roskear Junction box is next to the level crossing on Stray Park Road, Camborne. The box is still known as "Roskear Junction Signal Box". It opened in 1895 with a frame of 29 levers. The lever frame has been removed and it now contains an IFS control panel. Its signals are identified by the code letter 'R'. A signal box at Camborne station had been built on the eastbound platform next to the level crossing in 1895 and but closed on 8 June 1970, since when the signalman at Roskear Junction has monitored the level crossing at Camborne by cctv. The reason for retaining this signal box was that it also controlled the goods branch line to North Roskear, but this closed in July 1983.

Will set another picture or two when I return.

As I seem to have accidentally resurrected this thread after a week, I feel kind of obliged to add my own challenge. Here is a selection that hopefully vary from mildly challenging to brain-numbing. Not all are on National Rail, but some are on Simsig.

FP1:

FP2:

FP3:

FP4:

(incidentally, no trespass was involved: the first two were at level crossings)

Not the only easy one to me!

FP4 is a location I pass on my morning commute (Severn Beach line between Sea Mills and Bristol Temple Meads) and I recognise FP4 to be Stapleton Road, Bristol. That rusty bridge piece in the background of the XC train is a giveaway.

All of mine still need correct guesses, here's a reminder of them..

'UKTM-01' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/6121536660

'UKTM-02' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/6125753066
As a 'bonus question' - can anyone identify the train?

'UKTM-03' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/6125208513
There is no significance to the blurred-out bits.

'UKTM-04' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/6125751040

'UKTM-05' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/uktrainman/6128312423

Look forward to correct guesses, this rate there may be a prize for the first correct guess!

May have to start giving out clues at this rate..

Correct! I thought the disused main line bridge might be the giveaway there.
