It can definitely support 8s to Ely. I don't think the route is viable for any more than FCC 4 cars anyway. And i've just checked previous stock workings and it has had 2x316/7 booked out of Kings Lynn before.

I also meant to say that I knew about the whole divide/join thing at Cambridge/Royston and on some occasions it is done at Letchworth.

Getting back on topic, the footbridge at Cambridge was succesfully installed today

(Pics taken by the project team, with full safety measures in place.)
